Julie Morehead, Former President & CEO, Bank of Feather River/Director, Plumas Bank
Julie Morehead was the former President, CEO and a Director of Bank of Feather River which was acquired by Plumas Bank on July 1, 2021. Ms. Morehead has been in banking for 42 years and has served in executive positions for community banks for over 20 years, including as CEO, President, and CFO.
A lifetime and third generation Yuba City resident, Julie Morehead attended local schools entering into community banking shortly after high school. Ms. Morehead is a graduate of the University of Phoenix and the Texas Graduate School of Community Bank Management.
Her extensive experience includes development and oversight of strategic and operations performance, policy development and oversight, bank growth and profitability performance, corporate governance, risk management, regulatory and shareholder relations. During her career she has been charged with branch operations, business development, corporate finance, and oversight of loan administration.
Ms. Morehead is active in a wide array of community activities and organizations, often being recognized as an outstanding business leader. She was awarded the 2011 Athena Award for her demonstration of excellence, creativity and initiative in business while providing valuable service by contributing to improve the quality of life for others in the community, including actively assisting women realize their full leadership potential.
Adam J. Keefer, Managing Director, Piper Sandler & Co.
Adam Keefer is a managing director in the financial services group at Piper Sandler.
Previously, he was a managing director in the investment banking group of Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. Since joining the firm in 2004, Keefer focused on financial institutions in the western region. He has extensive experience serving as an advisor in mergers and acquisitions, public and private capital raising transactions, recapitalizations, restructurings and other strategic initiatives for Sandler O’Neill’s clients, including the $2B merger between Umpqua Holdings Corp. and Sterling Financial Corp., Pacific Capital Bancorp’s $1.5B sale to Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. and Washington Banking Company’s $265M strategic merger with Heritage Financial Corp.
Prior to joining Sandler O’Neill, Keefer served as an investment banking analyst for D.A. Davidson & Co.
Following a year of study at the London School of Economics, Keefer graduated with honors from Trinity College in Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He has also completed Pacific Coast Banking School’s graduate program in banking at the University of Washington.
