Janet Silveria

Janet Silveria is the President, CEO, and Chair of the Board of Community Bancshares of Santa Maria as well as their wholly owned subsidiary, Community Bank of Santa Maria. Silveria helped organize the bank in 2000 alongside the bank’s founders, Jim Glines and Bill Hares, and was the bank’s Chief Financial Officer upon opening in 2001. Silveria has served over 40 years in community banking, all in the Santa Maria Valley.

Silveria is active in the local community as well as the banking community. She serves on the Economic Development Committee for the Santa Maria Valley Chamber and the board of the Santa Maria Police Council, as well as being a Distinctive Past President of Santa Maria Kiwanis-Noontime and past board member for VTC. She is a current board member of the California Community Bank Network and past Chair of the 12th District Federal Reserve Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. Silveria has an associate degree in Business Administration from Allan Hancock College, and graduated from Western States Banking School in Reno, Nevada and the Pacific Coast Graduate School of Banking at the University of Washington, Seattle.
