Tamara Gurney

Tamara Gurney is the founder of Mission Valley Bank and serves as the Executive Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Mission Valley Bancorp and Executive Chair and Director of Mission Valley Bank.

Under Tamara's leadership, Mission Valley Bank has built a reputation for relationship banking, local decision-making, and strong community involvement. After serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Mission Valley Bank for 25 years, she transitioned to her current leadership roles in 2026, continuing to provide strategic direction and governance oversight for the overall organization, she remains actively engaged in supporting the long-term success of Mission Valley Bancorp and Mission Valley Bank while advancing economic development and community initiatives throughout the region.

Tamara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and is an Honors Graduate of the University of Wisconsin School for Bank Administration in Community Bank Management.  She currently serves on the following Boards of Directors:
